Meriden constituency lies on a crossroads of the busy Midlands motorway network, bisected by the M42 to the north and the M40 to the south. It is difficult to escape the sound of a motorway anywhere in the constituency.

Law and Order
Easy access to the motorway network also means criminals can target Meriden properties with the benefit of a quick getaway. The constituency is a large area with sparsely populated rural communities to police.

Education
Solihull borough's educational record is second to none in the West Midlands. The Conservative run council's decision to pump money into early years education has resulted in top quality state nurseries attached to many of the local primary schools.
